My word, we gave simply everything we had for this one.. why? Because it was challenging. Because it was shaping. Because it was creatively-rewarding to work on completely original packaging. The very first idea I had was to take a photo of a car dash set on top of a bold, trendy color backdrop (not far off from Ariana Grande’s latest one), die cut the driver’s window out for the LP Jacket, and swap out “an insert” with a day and night photograph. The idea kinda snowballed into not-one, but 12 different “window swaps”... not to mention bringing in Mason Tuttle/vinyl photographer to shoot his Dad’s Camaro, bringing in Jcadmanwoodworx to hand carve a WWS Hood Ornament for the Dash, bringing in shiftedcinema to shoot unbelievable aerial driving footage for a crazy music video idea we had, bringing in Mom Records to print a cool 16 bit Rad Racer-inspired wrap around cover, bringing in knownaccomplice_ to turn my handwriting into multiple skateboard decks(?!) & bringing in Smartpunk Records to do an exclusive variant.. ???? This package will win awards, just you wait & see... miss it, & you’ll be missing one of the coolest vinyl collectibles of the year, certainly for the price. There’s no I in “Team”, but there sure is in “win.” Thanks to 921 Collective & Revival Recs for giving us a shot at this.
