I’m holding on. It won’t be long.... till we all breathe deep. This MxPx boxset is the story of my life. Nothing came by the easy way, or the way it was supposed to. It is an exquisite, full-circle, art piece created through constantly evolving, “truth-is-stranger-than-fiction” circumstances. I can’t tell you how many people told me, “You know, you don’t HAVE to do any of this. No one would blame you for walking away entirely.” Just as many people would tell me, “Man. I REALLY hope that it can happen one day, for the fans” or “When are MxPx Vinyl reissues coming out?” Every single inch of creative muscle, partnering with people of enormous, vastly different skill sets (Bruno, John Nissen, Jered Scott, blackbelt mastering, Troy Glessner, Dayna Beck, Stay Goulden & Nicole Swan) went into making this set become a reality over the last 7 years (Unoriginal Vinyl originated out of an insane goal to make this exact box set come to life). All of the expectations, dreams & ambitions for the box were built, shattered, & rebuilt, about 150 different times in the process. I can’t assume to know whether or not it was all worth it. But for you, my friends, I can guarantee that it will be; You will love every one of the 168 inches that comprise this box. We can’t always get what we want out of life. But this one time, it actually happened. This one time. is for every mail-in OG fan club member, or folks who remember the animated garage website. It’s for your hastily-done day-of-show PXPX tattoo that you unwrapped far too early to show off at the Punk Rawk Show. This one time, is for a 14 year-old kid who went to the “Small Town Minds” Tour, bought the Small Town Minds 7”, & said “one day...”
