088. #Stavesacre’s “Friction” on @ToothAndNailRecords “Friction” needed to be given the vinyl treatment. And it needed to be well-executed. From the moment we received a completely-disorganized, 45 lb box of old memorabilia from Dirk (in pristine condition, we might add), we set out on a journey to tell the story of this band. The how and the why, but most-importantly, the legacy-building-for-future-generations “Who should still about all this old stuff in 2023?”-storyline. Crafting this beast took 9 months of continuous work. @VinylMouthpiece & I kept in touch on it constantly… hacking away at the details of the interview that we conducted with them in around April of 2023, to form a full picture for the audience. To us, Stavesacre isn’t a band that exists in our memory. They continue to live with us, in our minds & hearts (& Tim’s case, tattooed on his actual body) year-round. We won’t stop until their full story is told… and as you can imagine with a guy like, @thetwilightsown, there never was not more to tell.
